Naga'chi
In Zapotec, Naga'chi means "secret place." And that is exactly what it is: a space that feels worlds away from the city, even though it lies in the heart of Oaxaca. Surrounded by agaves and open to the sky, it creates an atmosphere that invites you to stay longer than you had planned.
It is not just another bar. It is not merely a café. It is a destination that transforms along with you throughout the day.
By day: coffee, breakfast, and calm.
Naga'chi opens every morning as the place Oaxaca needed: a coffee shop nestled among agaves where time moves a little slower. Come by for breakfast, to work, to read, or simply to do nothing at all with a great cup in hand.
Our daytime menu includes:

Open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
At night: mezcal, cocktails, and music.
As evening falls, Naga'chi transforms. It retains the same calm, rustic atmosphere but adds depth with a menu featuring artisanal mezcals, signature cocktails, and the possibility of live music.

- Domestic and Oaxacan craft beers
- Live music on special occasions

If you want to go beyond simply having a drink, Naga'chi is the place to do it. Our guided experiences and tastings are designed to take you from agave to glass—exploring its history, regions, producers, and nuances. Whether it’s your first time trying mezcal or you’re already a connoisseur, you’ll leave with a perspective you didn’t have when you walked in.
Secret Experiences
Few places in Oaxaca offer what Naga'chi provides for a private event: a natural setting within the city—surrounded by agave plants—possessing the energy and character of a space that already has a life of its own.
We have hosted:
— Weddings and celebrations (up to 60 guests for intimate private gatherings)
— Concerts and live music events (up to 100 guests)
— Private tastings of mezcal, sotol, and other artisanal spirits
— Corporate icebreakers and team-building activities featuring a mezcal experience
— Birthdays and special gatherings
— Day of the Dead celebrations (including the creation of a traditional altar—a cultural experience few venues in Oaxaca can offer with such authenticity)
Sound and lighting equipment is available when booking a DJ or live music. For catering, we work with trusted external vendors who are familiar with the venue.
